ONE Pass AI and Tech track: prepare the evidence early

Prepare ONE Pass AI and Tech track evidence for the January 2027 route without assuming a planned role or income component guarantees approval.

The ONE Pass AI and Tech track opens for applications on 28 January 2027. A candidate considering that route can prepare the evidence now, but should not treat the future opening date, job title or compensation package as an approval signal.

Build a dated record of income, role, employer scale and technical work. Keep facts and third-party evidence separate from a personal narrative.

Use the current official route

The MOM key-facts page says candidates may apply under the AI and Tech track from 28 January 2027. It places the track within the Overseas Networks and Expertise Pass for top talent.

The official 2026 policy factsheet says the track replaces Tech.Pass and recognises that qualifying AI and technology talent can receive non-cash compensation such as share options or share awards.

Read the live eligibility page when applications open. A policy announcement and document list do not replace the Ministry’s assessment or later changes to requirements.

Build the income chronology

The MOM documents page currently asks AI and Tech applicants for monthly payslips covering the 12 months before application and documents for other income sources where applicable.

Create a month-by-month schedule for fixed salary, cash variable pay and claimed non-cash components. Link every amount to a payslip, employer statement, award document or other source that fits the official definition.

Do not value options or awards using a convenient headline. Preserve grant terms, vesting, exercise conditions, valuation method and evidence. Seek appropriate tax, legal or valuation advice for material non-cash compensation.

Prove the qualifying role

The current documents page asks for a CV or employment letters showing founder, C-suite or technical-role employment within the previous ten years. Build a role chronology with employer, title, dates, responsibilities, reporting line, products and technical contribution.

Job titles differ across countries and companies. Use evidence of actual work, such as signed employment letters, board records, public product material, patents, publications or technical disclosures where appropriate.

Avoid inflated claims about leading an organisation or technology when the source evidence shows a narrower contribution. Consistency across the CV, letters and public record matters.

Capture employer scale at the right date

MOM’s current list asks for recent financial information about the present or most recent employer, obtained within three months, showing a relevant measure such as market capitalisation, valuation, revenue, assets under management or funds raised for technology firms.

Plan the source now, but refresh it close to application. A six-month-old screenshot may not meet a three-month requirement.

Save the page or report, publication date, currency and access date. Explain private-company sources and any conversion. Do not alter a third-party value to match a threshold.

Prepare the Singapore role or connection

Record the proposed activity in Singapore, employer or host, expected responsibilities and why the candidate’s experience is relevant. Keep the description consistent with genuine discussions and documents.

Do not create a nominal appointment to fit the route. Formal employment, corporate, equity and immigration arrangements should be reviewed by advisers with the appropriate Singapore speciality.

The foreign-founder role and work-permission guide explains why a corporate appointment and authority to work are separate questions.

Review alternatives and timing

Compare the ONE Pass route with the Employment Pass or another applicable route based on the candidate and activity. MOM says only one work pass application per candidate may be submitted at a time, so sequence matters.

Consider family timing, current pass expiry, notice periods, travel and company launch plans. Do not make an irreversible housing or employment commitment solely because a future application route is announced.

The ONE Pass family-planning guide addresses dependant planning for another track. Recheck the live dependant rules for the AI and Tech application.

Run a consistency audit

Compare names, dates, titles, employers, pay periods, currency, equity awards and achievements across every document. Resolve discrepancies with truthful supporting explanation.

Separate verified facts, candidate statements and third-party estimates. Remove obsolete drafts so the final application team does not upload inconsistent versions.

Have the candidate review every declaration. An adviser can organise the file, but the candidate remains responsible for accurate information and MOM alone decides the application.

Refresh the file before January 2027

Set review dates for October, December and the week applications open. Update payslips, employer scale, role letters and official criteria. Record any change to the opening date or document list.

The moving to Singapore with children guide is the immigration cornerstone. ONE Pass AI and Tech track readiness means having a traceable, current record and a realistic Singapore plan, while keeping approval, timing and eligibility with the official process.

## Build a claim-to-evidence index

List every material statement planned for the application: role seniority, technical contribution, employer scale, compensation component and Singapore activity. Beside each statement, identify the exact document, page and date that supports it. Mark candidate explanations separately from independent records.

Ask a reviewer unfamiliar with the candidate to test the index. If the reviewer cannot reach the same conclusion from the cited evidence, narrow the statement or obtain a better record. This is especially important for equity compensation, private-company valuation and technical leadership claims.

Translate documents where required and preserve both source and translation. Use consistent currency and date conventions without altering the underlying evidence. The goal is not to maximise every description; it is to give MOM a coherent, verifiable file that remains accurate when checked against employers and public sources.

Retain the final index with the submitted version and later correspondence.
