YA 2026 Form C attachments: complete the filing pack

Complete the YA 2026 Form C attachments by reconciling financial statements, tax computations, schedules, forms and PDF controls.

YA 2026 Form C attachments are not complete when the online fields balance but the supporting pack is missing, inconsistent or unreadable. Before submission, reconcile the financial statements, detailed profit and loss statement, tax computation, schedules and applicable claim forms to one frozen filing version.

Use a document matrix with preparer and approver sign-off. It is faster than discovering an omitted attachment after the 30 November deadline.

Confirm that Form C is the right return

The IRAS filing-season page says companies that do not qualify for Form C-S, Form C-S Lite or the dormant return file Form C. It also confirms the YA 2026 filing deadline of 30 November 2026 unless IRAS has granted a filing waiver.

Record why the company is using Form C. The YA 2026 return-form guide explains the form choice. Do not prepare a heavy Form C pack if the company qualifies for a simpler return, and do not use the simpler form when its conditions are not met.

Check Corppass Approver access early. Access failure on filing day is not an attachment issue, but it can prevent the completed pack from being submitted.

Build the YA 2026 Form C attachments matrix

The IRAS filing guidance lists audited or unaudited financial statements, tax computation and supporting schedules, Form IRIN 301, a detailed profit and loss statement, relevant claim forms, certain revised prior-year computations and applicable section 19B declarations among the Form C documents.

Create one row for each required or potentially applicable item. Mark not applicable only after a reviewer checks the company’s claims and facts.

State whether the item is filed with Form C, retained for request or submitted through another official route. Do not assume every tax workpaper should be uploaded.

Reconcile the financial statements

Confirm entity, financial period, currency, version, audit status and approval. Reconcile profit before tax to the starting point in the tax computation.

The detailed profit and loss statement should agree with the accounts and provide enough information for the return. Investigate mapping differences, rounding and late journals.

Freeze the ledger or document all post-close adjustments included in the tax computation. The filing pack should not mix a final computation with an earlier set of financial statements.

Trace tax adjustments and schedules

Create references from every material adjustment to a schedule and source evidence. Cover non-deductible expenses, capital allowances, donations, losses, foreign income, related-party amounts and incentive claims as applicable.

Check brought-forward balances against prior assessments and filings. Explain changes rather than carrying a spreadsheet number that nobody can trace.

For group relief, research and development, writing-down allowances or other specific claims, use the current official form and instructions. Review signatures and declarations before conversion to PDF.

Handle prior-year corrections properly

The IRAS guidance distinguishes prior-year computations relevant to loss carry-back or previously unreported income from revisions caused by errors discovered after a filing. It says later error corrections should use the Revise or Object to Assessment service rather than being inserted as an attachment through the Submit Document route.

Keep a correction decision record with the affected year, reason, amount, official route and owner. Do not hide a prior-year error in a current-year schedule.

Where the treatment is uncertain or material, obtain appropriate Singapore tax advice and preserve the position paper.

Prepare readable PDFs

IRAS asks for softcopy documents in PDF, clear scans and a readable font, and suggests print-to-PDF conversion to remove active content. The digital-services page gives current file-size limits for Form C attachments.

Use descriptive filenames with document type, year and version. Remove password protection that prevents official processing, while keeping the working files in approved secure storage.

Open every final PDF. Check orientation, missing pages, blank scans, clipped columns, signatures where required and searchable text. A successful upload does not prove that the attachment is legible.

Run the cross-document checks

Compare company name, UEN, YA, basis period, revenue, profit, tax payable, losses, donations and claim totals across the return and attachments. Record explanations for valid differences.

Use a preparer-approver checklist and retain the evidence of review. The tax filing version-control guide provides the wider freeze method.

Do not let the approver review only the online summary. Provide the exact final PDFs and a change log from the reviewed draft.

Preserve the submission evidence

After filing, save the official acknowledgement, submitted return and exact attachment set. Do not upload the acknowledgement back to IRAS as if it were supporting evidence.

Record submission date, person, Corppass role and any portal warning. If IRAS requests further information, link the response to the frozen pack without overwriting it.

The Singapore transfer-pricing workflow is the tax cornerstone. A YA 2026 Form C attachment pack is complete when every required document is applicable, consistent, readable, approved and preserved as the same version that IRAS received.

## Separate tax positions from document mechanics

Create two review columns. The first confirms that the tax position has an owner, analysis and approval. The second confirms that the resulting attachment is required, final, readable and named correctly. A technically correct computation can still be filed with the wrong supporting version.

For each adjustment, trace from the audited accounts to the tax computation and supporting schedule, then trace selected return fields back to source. Record legitimate differences such as grouping, rounding or tax treatment rather than forcing identical numbers.

Schedule the final attachment review before the filing day. Portal limits, corrupted PDFs or an absent approver should not become last-minute reasons to omit a document. If advice is still pending, escalate the filing decision rather than silently using an unapproved draft.
