A PMLA information-change log should compare the facts used for the pre-marriage assessment with the facts that will be declared in the later LTVP application. It helps a couple explain genuine changes without treating the PMLA outcome as an immigration approval.
Use the log after the PMLA submission and before the post-marriage LTVP application. Both people should review it against official records rather than rely on memory.
Keep the PMLA submission snapshot
Preserve the submitted names, passport details, addresses, travel history, marital history, education, employment, income and other declared information. Record the submission date and outcome date.
The ICA PMLA page says the Singapore citizen and intended non-resident spouse jointly complete and declare the particulars. False statements can invalidate the assessment outcome.
Do not retain passwords or Singpass information in the case file. Keep official acknowledgement and uploaded records in an access-controlled location.
Understand why consistency matters
ICA states that PMLA information is similar to information required for the LTVP application. A positive assessment means the intended spouse is likely to be eligible, but the spouse must still apply separately after marriage.
ICA also explains that outcomes may differ if circumstances change between the applications or different information is used. The aim is not to force unchanged answers. It is to make every answer current, accurate and explainable.
A change log helps the couple distinguish a real update from an accidental inconsistency, missing record or different spelling.
Review identity and civil-status changes
Check passport renewal, nationality, legal name, residential address and contact details. Preserve the old and new record where it explains the chronology.
Record the marriage date, place and certificate details. Review previous marriages, divorce, widowhood, children and any name differences across civil documents.
Use certified translations where the current ICA instructions require them. Do not alter a translation to make it resemble an earlier answer.
Update work, income and education facts
Compare employer, occupation, salary, employment status and business interests for both people. Record the effective date and supporting document for each change.
Explain a genuine promotion, job loss, new employment or income movement with the actual documents. Avoid selecting an earlier figure merely because it supported the PMLA assessment.
Check new qualifications and current study. A course application is not the same as a completed qualification.
Recheck travel, immigration and Work Permit history
Update passport movements, current stay status and any new Singapore pass. Record visa or immigration decisions in another jurisdiction where the application asks for them.
If the non-resident is an existing or former Work Permit holder who required MOM approval to marry, keep the official approval and verify that the names and identity details match.
A marriage approval, PMLA outcome or pending LTVP application does not extend lawful stay or authorise work. Manage those permissions separately.
Record medical, criminal and other material developments
Review every question in the current LTVP form. If a relevant medical, criminal or legal fact has changed, obtain proper advice on the accurate response and supporting evidence.
Do not decide that a fact is unimportant because it was absent from the earlier application. Answer the question asked in the current form.
Keep sensitive records tightly restricted. The change log can note that supporting evidence exists without circulating the full document to every coordinator.
Use three outcomes for each comparison
Mark an item unchanged, changed or corrected. A changed fact was true at PMLA submission and later became different. A corrected fact was inaccurate or incomplete when first stated.
For a correction, seek guidance on the proper way to notify ICA and explain it in the later application. Do not hide the issue by repeating the earlier answer.
For an unchanged item, still verify it against the current source. Copying an old form is not a review.

Review the current LTVP application requirements
Use ICA’s LTVP route for the spouse of a Singapore citizen for the live application requirements. Build the post-marriage file from current instructions, not only the earlier PMLA checklist.
Confirm that the Letter of Eligibility remains within its published one-year use period if the couple intends to rely on it. The letter is not an LTVP and does not grant residence.

Approve truthful changes before submission
Both spouses should review the final answers, change log and supporting documents. Resolve contradictory dates, names and income periods before submitting.
Keep a short explanation for each material change. State what changed, when it changed and which record supports it. Avoid advocacy language that obscures the fact.
Check that dates use the same format and that names follow the current travel document. Where an official record uses a previous name or address, connect it with the relevant certificate or dated explanation. Small clerical differences should be resolved, not ignored.
After filing, preserve the submitted version and acknowledgement. Add later changes to a new log rather than editing the historical record.
